$600 Main Event Day 1A
Level 10: 600/1,200 with a 1,200 BB Ante
Entries: 305
A player in middle position raises to 3,200 and Charlie Ciresi calls on the button. Ed Yang comes along as well from the small blind and they are three-handed to a flop of [Jd][7s][6h].
Yang checks and the original raiser bets 4,300. Ciresi calls and so does Yang. The [Ks] comes on the turn and Yang leads out into the field for 5,000. Middle position folds and Ciresi calls.
The river is the [Tc] and both players check. Yang shows [9c][9s] and Ciresi wins the pot with [Qs][Td]. Ciresi, one of the supervisors for the World Series of Poker, is well above an average chip stack and in a good position to make Day 2 with four levels left in the day.
Charlie Ciresi – 147,000
