Hand #1: Kim Stone Chips Up
Kim Stone raised to 2,500 from the hijack and Albert Ng defended his big blind. The flop came [js,9h,6h] and both players checked to the [6s] on the turn. Ng checked, Stone bet 5,000 and Ng snap-mucked.

Hand #2: Nathan Manuel Flops the Goods
Stone raised it up to 2,500 from middle position and Nathan Manuel called on the button. The flop came [js,td,8d] and Stone opted to check. Manuel bet 1,500 and Stone called. The turn was the [ac] and Stone checked again. Manuel fired a bet of 6,200 this time and Stone quickly folded. Manuel flashed [9d,7d] for a straight plus a diamond redraw.

Hand #3: Vincent Newland Piles It In
Kim Stone raised to 2,500 from under the gun for the third hand in a row. Action folded to Vincent Newland in the big blind and he decided to three-bet to 6,800. Stone thought about it for a moment and opted to call.

The flop came [ad,qh,7d] and Newland bet out 6,500. Stone called. The turn was the [9h] and Newland shoved, prompting Stone to snap-fold.

Hand #4: Michael Martinez Doubles Through Vincent Newland
Michael Martinez raised to 5,000 from under the gun and action folded to Newland in the small blind. He thought for a moment and then shoved all in. Stone paused to think about it but folded. Martinez called.

Martinez was at risk with [ts,td], well ahead of Newland’s [9s,9h]. “It’s a horse race” said Martinez. Newand laughed and said, “No it’s not! It’s far from that!” The dealer put out a flop rading [as,th,2c] and Martinez took a stranglehold on the hand. The turn was the [2h] and the river was the [ah] to give Martinez a double. “I was getting desperate. Thank you” said a smiling Martinez.

Hand #5: Albert Ng Doubles Through Vincent Newland
Albert Ng open-shoved for 9,100 from the hijack and Newland asked for a count before deciding to call on the button. Ng tabled [8d,8c] and Newland asked, “Is that eights?” as he tabled [7d,7h]. Once again he was up against one higher pair, and the board ran out [qs,jh,3s,9c,qc] to give Ng a double.

Hand #6: Vincent Newland Applies Pressure
Action folded to Newland in the cutoff and he asked Chad Holloway, “How much do you have, Chad?” Holloway confirmed he had 11,900 behind. Newland made it 13,000 to go and action folded to Martinez in the small blind. He cut out chips to possibly call, but opted to fold. Holloway peeled the [kd] and decided to fold. Newland flashed the [qd] and said, “I was ready!” as he raked in the blinds and antes.

Hand #7: Bill Watchman Picks Nathan Manuel Off
Bill Watchman raised to 2,200 from early position and Nathan Manuel defended his big blind. The flop came [jd,5s,4s] and Manuel checked. Watchman bet 3,500 and Manuel quickly called. The turn was the [js] and both players checked to the [3c] on the river. Manuel bet out 2,800 and Watchman wasted no time calling. Manuel tabled [qd,5d] for two pair jacks and fives, but it was no good against Watchman’s [7h,7d] for better two pair. “I’ve had pocket sevens like five times today!” said Watchman.

Nathan Manuel – 53,000
