$600 Main Event Day 1A
Level 13: 1,200/2,400 with a 2,400 BB ante
Players Remaining: 64 0f 313
With just eight minutes remaining in level 13, the first of two starting flights in the Run It Up Reno $600 no-limit hold’em main event wraps up with 64 players remaining.
Dylan Hortin (pictured) bagged a monster stack of 421,900 to lead the Day 1A survivors. Hortin’s lead is massive as the next closest competitor is one of Nevada’s top online players, Jed Hoffman, with 289,800 in chips. Dauoo Majid (250,500), Casey Miller (246,200) and John Miner (240,300) round out the top five chip counts.
Other notables to survive the day and secure a spot in the Day 2 field include Jon Turner, Andrew Cha, Matt Staples, Jeff Gross, Ilana Creed, Andrew Neeme, Brian Fite, David Lander, Loren Klein, Deb Swift, Brian Sherrier, Kristy Arnett, Albert Ng and Patrick Tardif.
Not everybody was lucky enough to make it through the day and there were plenty of talented poker players that failed to make it through. Kevin Martin, Jaime Staples, Ricky Guan, last spring’s runner-up Paul Sampson, Vincent Moscati, Scott Stewart and Charlie Ciresi were just a few of the unlucky players to bust before the day’s end.
They are all able to take another shot on Saturday at noon for Day 1B. For those that are going to fire on Day 1B, cards get in the air at noon and will play until there is 9:55 remaining in level 13, or until they reach 20% + 1 player in the field. For those that made it through Day 1A, they have an off-day on Saturday and will come back on Sunday at noon for Day 2 to play down to a winner.
