Many players are having their first Run It Up experience, including poker pro Jon Turner and his girlfriend Leyla Rogers, who started playing a couple of years ago. They both came from Las Vegas and are planning to stay the entire series. We talked to Turner about his expectations and this is what he had to say:
”First time! We just decided to come up here. First time that she can really play a full series. We got a lot friends coming here and everybody says it’s a really fun trip. We heard it was a ton of fun.”
For Turner and Rogers, it’s mostly about the experience, although winning a Platinum Pass to the PokerStars Players No Limit Hold’em Championship wouldn’t hurt!
”There’s a lot of mixed games, they are low buy-ins but it’s not about that, it’s about the experience and getting her some experience, going after one of those trophies, and hey! Maybe go to PCA! ”
