Most streamers here at Run It Up Reno are no-limit hold’em specialists, or at least play that as their main game. Adrienne ‘TalonChick’ Carter doesn’t fit that mold. Carter got her start in mixed games and started playing Omaha hi-lo at her local casinos in Alberta.
She plays online under the name ‘TalonChick’ and is a regular in the mixed games online, mostly Omaha Hi-Lo. She is one of the countless streamers playing in today’s event, but unlike most of the others, she’s in her comfort zone playing limit poker. Carter doesn’t rely on poker for her main source of income. When she’s away from the table, she works as an occupational therapist.
Poker skills run in the family, however, as her husband Ryan is in the midst of a run at the $235 no-limit hold’em bounty event. He’s at the final table, while she’s sitting with nearly triple her starting stack as registration is coming to a close.
