Jimmy Cappucci has taken down Event #2 $150 6-Max PLO $25 Knockout for $2,690 and his third Run It Up gold trophy! He joins only Andrew Cha and Jason Daniele as part of the three-time winners’ circle.

In the final hand, Cappucci held a pair of tens for two pair on a board with two kings. Eric Nelson had trip kings but the river was a ten to seal the deal and ship the win to Cappucci. In addition to locking up this win, the newly-crowned champion also booked several trophy bets and is about to collect his winnings from that as well.

The final table was stacked, with a ton of familiar faces as part of the RIU legion. Here is a look at the final table payouts:

1st place: Jimmy Cappucci – $2,690 + Last RIU Warrior Standing Main Event Seat
2nd place: Eric Nelson – $1,720
3rd place: Kevin Gerhart – $1,140
4th place: Mike McGough – $785
5th place: I’ll B Awful – $565
6th place: Ivan Zarate – $425
7th place: Aaron Schoch – $335

This event was just the second of the day, and the second of the much-anticipated Run It Up series here in Reno. A total of 98 entries were tallied by the end of the registration period for a prize pool of $9,800, almost doubling the $5,000 guarantee placed on the event. A total of 15 players made the money today, with Aaron Schoch bursting the bubble after flopping quad fives.

Notable players to make the money, but not the final table, included Adam Jonson (11th – $260) and Alex Lavinthal (15th – $235).

While many esteemed players made the money, a good chunk of the field did not. This includes Jason Somerville, Vincent Newland, Jordan Spurlin, Albert Ng and Jake Irvin.
