Rian Mullins

Jim Schoch came in to heads-up play with a big lead but Rian Mullins clawed his way back and eventually took down the 6-Max Turbo for $2,565. In the final hand, Mullins called a shove from Schoch with pocket threes, up against six-four off-suit. The board ran out dry and Mullins locked up the pot and the title.

Schoch has been supporting his son, Aaron, all week as he has made several final tables this series. It was finally his time to shine and he did just that, finishing as runner-up for $1,700.

This event filled up quite quickly, bringing in a total of 97 entries at the close of registration for a prize pool worth $9,700 paying out 16 spots.
