Playing no-limit hold’em, on a board reading [Qc5d4d], Jaime Staples check-called a bet of 110,000 from Brett Gordon. The turn was the [tc] and both players checked to the [6d] on the river. Staples moved all-in and Gordon snapped him off and said “I call. I have a flush” and tabled [9d2d]. Staples flashed [8s7h] for a straight and mucked his hand, settling for 2nd place!
Staples takes home $4,000 for his runner-up finish while Gordon pockets $4,960, the Last RIU Warrior standing Main Event seat and the trophy!
