Patrick Tardif, in the hijack, shoved all-in for his last 40,000. Mitchell Cogert, in the cutoff, called, along with Bill Watchman in the small blind and Chuck Hawkins in the big blind.
The flop was [Qd][9d][Ac] and was checked to Hawkins who bet 100,000. Cogert was the only caller. The turn came the [7d] and this time, Hawkins checked. Cogert moved all-in. Hawkins snap-folded.
”Do you have diamonds?” asked Tardif
Cogert responded by tabling his [Td][8d] for a flush, up against Tardif’s queen-seven for two pair.
”Seven!” Tardif shouted.
The [Tc] came on the river and that was it for Tardif.
